St. George Maronite Center Welcomes You to Your Event

From your first glimpse of domed roofs peeking through the Live Oaks as you roll onto campus, you may be struck by the strong sense of place the Maronite Community Center instantly inspires. A few hundred feet brings you to the picturesque St. George Maronite Church, with its tall narrow stained glass windows inset in the bright white walls at just the right angle to dazzle you with color and light at the last hours of the day. If you are lucky enough to visit at twilight, you may get to walk along the rows of arches that lead away from the church, past the elegant sunken courtyard, to the manicured garden and water fountain sheltering in a stand of Live Oak trees.

The St. George Maronite Center supports a large Lebanese community in San Antonio and the Church is available for all manner of Christian weddings, should you like to get married in a beautiful intimate church and then have the reception of your dreams just a few steps away!

At night, the buildings are beautifully lit with the intent of inviting your guests inside. The many doors and crystal chandelier twinkling from the high ceiling hint at the scale of this venue, and of the elegant evening you have in store. But it’s still not enough to prepare you for row upon row of artfully arranged tables and chairs, draped and decorated with your wishes in mind.

Carefully lit niches along the walls echo the arch motif without overwhelming the room. And recessed lighting highlights the floral table settings while maintaining the ambiance. If you are like us, you can’t help but take in the whole scene in the grand ballroom and feel that powerful sense that finally, you have arrived!

A WeddingWire.com Bride’s Choice two years running and member in good standing of the National Association of Catering and Events, The Phoenician Ballroom at St. George Maronite Center is your ideal venue for your wedding, quinceanera or other formal event.
